The Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) Administrator

Approved for 6 CEU Hours

 

29 CFR 1910.134 (c)(3) Mandatory:

The employer shall be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a written respiratory protection program. The program must be administered by a suitably trained program administrator trained to the complexity of the program.

This Respiratory Protection program is designed for individuals who may design, develop, implement, administer and sustain a respiratory protection program. This course will help participants develop and maintain a respiratory protection program that complies with all state and federal regulations.

 

Course Objectives:

• Identify administrative components required for employers to establish a respiratory protection program in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.134(c).

• Apply industry-specific requirements

• Apply state and federal standards to the new Silica construction standard

• Identify the requirements for personal protective equipment.

• Evaluate multiple technologies to conduct qualitative and quantitative fit testing in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.134. Identify how the Respiratory Protection Standard interacts with other OSHA standards in your respiratory protection program.

• Z88.10 Fit Tester required qualifications.

• Identify Mandatory requirement of the standard

Your Instructor:

Dr. Terpin is the Retired Senior Industrial Hygienist/ Emergency for the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dennis is a Certified Master Level Instructor for FEMA/Homeland Security at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) and has over 50 years of experience in the Occupational Safety and Health, Laboratory Safety and Emergency Management fields.
